Angie,
As I understand it, you have two options when it comes to getting your video on your Amazon book page.

1.) Contact Amazon with your request - The scuttlebutt is that Amazon is charging publishing houses to include a video on their books pages. In fact, one blog post I read recently claimed Amazon charged $1500 for video placement on a specific page. But you never know until you try:)

2.) Post your video as a video review for the book - You, or one of your book's fans, can post a video review of the book within the review section at Amazon at no charge. Now, granted, these reviews shift as additional reviews are added, but if your video review receives a number of helpful votes it'll have higher placement. So get your video review up there, and then encourage your fans to thumb it up!

Hope this helps,
Kelli

Sheila,
You've posted the above information on so many blogs, web sites, chat rooms, Twitter posts, and Squidoo lenses, we felt it was common knowledge, and didn't need to re-post it.

But thanks for the reminder!

Absolutely no trademark infrigement was intended when we included the words "book trailer" in our list of terms for online videos promoting books.

Congratulations on being the very first to pioneer a book trailer, and for trademarking the term.

I think the only thing missing in this post is the fact that "book trailer" is a registered trademark and that Circle of Seven Productions pioneered the market back in 2002.
And that the first Telly Award given for a book trailer went to COS Productions back in 2004.
The University of Florida has been creating book video since 2002 as well and they have a program for schools that helps to encourage reading by having students create book videos.

What an inspirational post! I'd like to add to one of your comments - you said, "The reality is that God can do marvelous things with the work of your hands" because I was just reading Psalm 90:17 - "May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us - yes, establish the work of your hands."

Great post and fabulous site! I stumbled upon your website with a little Help from my Boss (the man upstairs). I am going to be needing a web designer in the near future, but have to hold off until I have enough $$. Until then, THANK YOU!
